Fancy Colored Diamonds

Fancy colored diamonds come in many different colors; the mostly known colors are blue, pink, orange, yellow, and red.
       
BLUE diamonds are found in all intensities; most blue diamonds are very rare; they have been around for quite a while.

PINK diamonds are some of the rarest and most highly valued color diamonds in the market today.

ORANGE diamonds are very rare - you don’t see them often.

YELLOW diamonds are very, very rare; they are not commonly found.

RED diamonds are the rarest colored diamond. 


Due to the rarity of fancy colored diamonds it’s important to insist on buying only a certified fancy colored diamond from trusted and registered dealers.

Price
Mined blue diamonds are quite rare and can sell between $200,000 and $500,000 for one carat. Pink diamonds can easily cost over $100,000 for one carat. Orange diamonds are about $30,000- $40,000. Yellow diamonds can be about $6,000- $8,000. Red colored diamonds are about $13,500 at its lowest, it could be up to 18,000 for just one carat.

Where do colored diamonds come from?
Blue diamonds originally came from India; many blue diamonds now come from South Africa. Pink diamonds come from Australia. Orange diamonds come from the Argyle mine in Australia and South Africa. Yellow diamonds are found mostly in South Africa. Red diamonds have been known to come from Australia, and a few from South Africa and Brazil.
